Love Your Smile in Plymouth

Love Your Smile in Plymouth There is nothing like bright white teeth that light up a person’s whole face when they smile and laugh. No one has to settle for dull, yellow teeth.

This is a great time for Minneapolis men, women and teens to get a deep teeth cleaning and tooth whitening at Boger Dental in Plymouth. With a deep cleaning followed by teeth bleaching, your teeth will feel as good as they look.

If you have an important upcoming event such as a St. Paul wedding, Maple Grove party or formal family portrait sitting, a smile makeover will give you extra confidence as you pose for photos (even close-ups).

Twin Cities teeth bleaching can whiten teeth beyond their natural shade. At our Plymouth cosmetic dentistry practice, we don’t use a conventional shade chart for our Maple Grove whitening clients anymore. You have probably seen the porcelain tabs in graduated shades that Plymouth tooth whitening dentists use to determine appropriate, yet natural looking, shades for tooth restorations. We now use a shade guide with levels significantly whiter than the guides we have used in the past. Tooth whitening is not a gimmick; it is safe and incredibly effective. Minneapolis tooth bleaching clients can maintain a white shade that equals the brightness of the ‘tooth’ models you see in dental marketing.

Twin Cities tooth whitening following twice-yearly cleanings is the most affordable cosmetic dentistry procedure. Tooth bleaching in Plymouth is comparable to the cost of a professional hair weaving and cut, but when you consider the transformation; there is no comparison! Flash your gorgeous, sparkling smile, and no one will even notice your hair.

Boger Dental in Plymouth Cares For Teeth

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Boger Dental in Plymouth Cares For Teeth Dentists in Plymouth are concerned with your oral health and thus care about the condition of your mouth and all of your many teeth. At Boger Dental we recognize that your teeth help you both eat and speak. You use your teeth to tear, scrape, and chew food, as well as to form words with your tongue. Teeth are an important part of your oral health and Boger Dental located in Plymouth, Minnesota wants to help keep your mouth and teeth healthy.

We humans have two sets of teeth in our lifetime. The first set are your ‘primary teeth’, which many folks around Plymouth often call ‘baby teeth’. Baby teeth typically start to come in at about 6 months old. An average healthy mouth for a Plymouth resident has a total of 20 primary teeth by about age 5.

Your primary teeth will eventually fall out and new teeth known as ‘permanent teeth’ will grow in. Permanent teeth typically begin to come in around age 6 for most Plymouth residents, but every person is unique and it could be a little earlier or later. By about age 13 an average healthy mouth should have 28 of the total 32 permanent teeth. The last four permanent teeth may or may not come, but typically come in between the ages of 17 and 21 if they do. Because of the late age that these last teeth come in they are commonly called ‘wisdom teeth‘.

Many adults in the city of Plymouth have their wisdom teeth pulled out because these teeth can be problematic to your oral health, such as crowding a mouth. Other adults in the Plymouth area may not have these teeth pulled out because they are not causing problems. If you are concerned about the state of your wisdom teeth you can visit our local Plymouth dental office and we can help you make a decision.

Caring for all of your teeth whether you are young and have 20 primary teeth or are an adult and have 28 to 32 permanent teeth is important for your overall health. Visiting your Plymouth dentist regularly, and brushing and flossing daily are great ways to care for your many teeth. Boger Dental located in Plymouth, cares about your  oral health and teeth and can be reached by phone at 763-546-7707.

Educating Plymouth Dental Patients About Little-Known Risks Hi, we are Drs. Stephen & Chad Boger, & Joseph Madden, DDS. Most every day, we can be found at our Minneapolis area dental office treating dental patients with tooth and gum problems or helping patients prevent them. There are many common medical conditions that pose a risk to oral health.

1) Plymouth diabetes patients with high blood glucose often have a higher risk of dental issues. If you have diabetes, let’s talk. Our number is 763-546-7707.

2) A persistent dry mouth due to an inadequate amount of saliva can accelerate tooth decay, cause or contribute to gum disease, and trigger chronic bad breath. Many medications used by thousands of Minneapolis folks, including those for high-blood pressure and depression, cause dry mouth. This side effect is not only unpleasant, it is dangerous. Anti-depressants (especially SSRI’s) and anti-psychotic drugs can also trigger tooth-grinding (bruxism).

3) Acid reflux in children and adults is associated with a host of dental problems such as decay and periodontal disease.

We help many Twin Cities dental patients prevent problems associated with medical conditions that sometimes seem unrelated to dental health. Regular professional dental care is essential for oral health, and an important part of your overall physical health.
