Dr. Joseph Madden completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth. In 1998 he was accepted into the University of MN School of Dentistry's early admissions program. Dr. Madden graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 2002. He then completed an elective residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital for a year before going into group practice as a general dentist. Dr. Madden has been with Boger Dental since 2008 and purchased the office with Dr. Chad Boger in 2012.
Dr. Madden’s practice is devoted to family dentistry that includes a wide variety of dental procedures. This includes the placement and restoration of dental implants. He completed additional implant training from The London Dental Institute of Seattle in 2009. He prides himself in helping each patient achieve optimal dental health with a personal approach that starts with patient education. He provides an environment that allows every patient to explore all options with out pressure or being judged. He has volunteered regularly at the Union Gospel Mission providing free dental services since 2002. In 2006, they recognized his generous efforts with The Robert & Marie Walker Volunteer Service Award.
He is a Minnesota native having grown up in Delano. He lives in Saint Louis Park with his wife Heather, who is a nurse at HCMC, and their two dogs. They enjoy spending their free time with friends and family. He is very active and enjoys most aspects of the outdoors. He loves open spaces and tries to get outside as much as possible. Some of his hobbies include elk and pheasant hunting, fly fishing, rock climbing, golf, tennis, xc skiing and has competed in triathlons.
