DURAthin Dental Veneers

Prepless Dental Veneers in Plymouth

Consistent with its leadership in the Minneapolis area, Boger Dental introduced Minnesota to DURAthin® veneers as another restorative dental option to enhance your smile.  With this conservative procedure, we bond thin, custom-designed shells to the surface of your natural teeth.  The color of these prepless veneers is matched to your other teeth.

The most appealing feature of prepless veneers is that they give an aesthetically pleasing result without removing any natural tooth structure.  As an award winning practice that stays up to date on the latest in cosmetic dentistry, you can feel confident in our ability to deliver high quality, custom-fit prepless dental veneers.

Restoring Your Smile with DURAthin Veneers
DURAthin veneers offer solutions to a variety of cosmetic issues for a beautiful smile:

  • Shield chipped or cracked teeth
  • Hide slightly discolored or stained teeth
  • Visually resolve slightly crooked or misaligned teeth
  • Solve unwanted gaps or spaces
  • Cover worn or misshaped teeth
  • Conceal small teeth
  • Straighten and enhance the look of your smile

Application of Prepless Veneers
After an initial consultation to confirm that you are a good candidate for prepless veneers, we take impressions of the shape your teeth and match the color of the enamel.  These are then sent off to expert ceramists to use in fashioning your DURAthin veneers.

After your custom DURAthin veneers are ready, we bond these contact-lens thin (usually between 0.2-0.4 mm) tooth-shaped shells to the surface of your teeth.  Unlike porcelain veneers, which often require irreversible shaping of your natural teeth, prepless veneers can be applied with little to no disturbance of your tooth enamel.  After application, DURAthin veneers are designed to be strong and durable, allowing you to eat and function as though they were natural teeth.

Why Choose DURAthin Veneers

Natural Color Because DURAthin veneers are crafted using the traditional porcelain build-up technique, all of the color is built into the veneer itself.  This allows the veneer to cover unwanted discoloration from the underlying tooth, manifesting the natural color and translucent quality of a normal tooth.

Stainless Because DURAthin prepless veneers are difficult to stain, they can stay looking bright and beautiful if properly cared for.

Durable
Although DURAthin veneers are quite thin, they are very strong once bonded to the teeth.  You can feel comfortable eating regular foods and treating your DURAthin veneers like natural teeth. However, good oral hygiene is an important part of prolonging the beautiful look of your prepless veneers.

Reversible
While many restorative dental procedures require irreversible priming of the underlying natural teeth, DURAthin prepless veneers are thin enough to bond directly over the normal teeth.  Little to no shaving of the enamel is necessary. This allows the DURAthin veneers to be removed in the future if necessary.

Comfortable
The application of prepless veneers can generally be done without the use of any anesthetic.
