Dr. Chad Boger is a graduate of Carlton College 1997 and went on to dental school at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Chad provides the wide variety of general dentistry procedures at Boger Dental where he joined his father in practice right after graduation in 2002. Dr. Chad continued his training through several post-graduate courses in general and cosmetic/reconstructive dentistry. He was one of the youngest doctors nationwide to complete the post-graduate continuum on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2003. Dr. Chad then began an intensive and demanding curriculum at LVI, the Las Vegas Institute or www.LVIglobal.com, to understand and help treat and prevent TMJ pain/dysfunction and headaches with computer aided jaw-tracking and the concepts of neuromuscular dentistry. Most recently, Chad has completed the orthodontics program at LVI, which focuses on aiding the development of the face, teeth and airway toward ideal form and function. The traditional orthodontic knowledge has enhanced his abilities to appropriately suggest when to use Invisalign, clear retainer braces www.invisalign.com, and has become a premiere provider through education and successful completion of cases. His education and experience treating a wide variety of functional and cosmetic challenges puts him in a position to be able to help a patient understand the possibilities and limitations of different treatments to meet their specific needs and wants.
Dr. Boger helps in a campaign to deliver dental services to special-needs families, and he provides dental care for adults with disabilities through DDS, Donated Dental Services. He has participated in Missions of Mercy which provides dental care to out-state under served populations. Annually the entire Boger Dental team and its patients raise money through the smiles for life campaign, smilesforlife.org, and donates money and time locally to the Ronald McDonald care mobile, and to the Smile Network.
Dr. Boger was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated from Hopkins High school before graduate and post graduate studies. He and his wife Shayla have two young children, Eleanor and Ansel, that keep them busy and happy. In addition to spending time with his family and friends he enjoys watching and playing sports, particularly basketball and golf. Following in his grandfather and great uncles footsteps Dr. Boger joined the Golden Valley chapter of Rotary International where he has been actively involved in the club and in the community. Dr. Joseph Madden completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth. In 1998 he was accepted into the University of MN School of Dentistry's early admissions program. Dr. Madden graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 2002. He then completed an elective residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital for a year before going into group practice as a general dentist. Dr. Madden has been with Boger Dental since 2008 and purchased the office with Dr. Chad Boger in 2012.
Dr. Madden’s practice is devoted to family dentistry that includes a wide variety of dental procedures. This includes the placement and restoration of dental implants. He completed additional implant training from The London Dental Institute of Seattle in 2009. He prides himself in helping each patient achieve optimal dental health with a personal approach that starts with patient education. He provides an environment that allows every patient to explore all options with out pressure or being judged. He has volunteered regularly at the Union Gospel Mission providing free dental services since 2002. In 2006, they recognized his generous efforts with The Robert & Marie Walker Volunteer Service Award.
He is a Minnesota native having grown up in Delano. He lives in Saint Louis Park with his wife Heather, who is a nurse at HCMC, and their two dogs. They enjoy spending their free time with friends and family. He is very active and enjoys most aspects of the outdoors. He loves open spaces and tries to get outside as much as possible. Some of his hobbies include elk and pheasant hunting, fly fishing, rock climbing, golf, tennis, xc skiing and has competed in triathlons.
Dr. Kristi Scherweit joined the Boger Dental team in the summer of 2010 after spending two years working as an associate with a private practice in Annapolis, MD. Dr. Kristi graduated from Marquette University in 2008 and has had a wide variety of experience in the areas of restorative, cosmetic and pediatric dentistry.
Originally from Casselton, ND, Dr. Kristi's is happy to be back in the Midwest but is grateful for the wealth of experience she gained from her time in Maryland, and also the opportunity it provided her to volunteer at a dental clinic serving no-income or low-income residents.
Dr. Kristi now lives in Maple Grove with her husband Justin and Yorkshire Terrier, Dakota. Dr. Kristi and her husband are enjoying their new little girl, Dylan who just turned one.
Dr. Anamaria Betterman is the newest member of the Boger Dental team, joining the practice the summer of 2012. A 2003 graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School, Dr. Betterman brings with her a wide range of dental experiences. She practiced and was mentored in cosmetic dentistry for three years while out in Boston, MA and then came to the Twin Cities and has practiced family dentistry for the past six years at Park Dental.

Dr. Stephen Boger founded Boger Dental in 1977 and has been a pioneer in the advancement of patient-focused, lifetime dental care and has dedicated his career to advocating the life changing impact that having a youthful, healthy smile can have on person’s life.
A graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, Dr. Steve has the distinction of being an honorary member of the Omicron Kappa Dental Society, representing the top five percent of graduating dentists nationwide. He also received the American College of Dentist's Award of Merit given to the top student in his class. Following graduation, he completed residency at the Brooke Army Medical Center Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
As founder of the Boger Center for Professional Development, Dr. Steve has provided advanced training to over 100 dentists and their teams from around the nation. He has lectured for several professional groups and organizations, including at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry Post Graduate program. He is a passionate believer in life-long learning and has completed the year-long Post Graduate Aesthetic Continuum at the University of Minnesota, the Advanced Cosmetic level at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, the nation's most esteemed post-graduate cosmetic dentistry continuum, as well as the respected Kois Continuum in Seattle. He also has participated in many clinical trials and has received advanced training to earn Invisalign, laser and orthodontic certifications. Dr. Steve also provided the team with many opportunities to advance their skills and invested in many hours of continuing training on their behalf.
Dr. Steve sold the practice to his son, Dr. Chad Boger, and Dr. Joe Madden in 2012 and now contributes his time and resources in support of several global health organizations. In 2006, he founded the Boger Foundation to raise support and awareness of the need for all children, in the Twin Cities community and beyond, to achieve access to oral health care. Through a variety of evolving programs, the Foundation is a channel for the charitable efforts of the Boger Dental team and the Boger family. Together with the Minnesota-based Smile Network International, Dr. Steve is working to incorporate dental care in mission trips to developing nations in addition to the surgical services they provide for children born with cleft palates or other facial deformities. He has taken a delegation team of his own to Puerto Rico to provide dental services through a program sponsored by Rotary International and the United Methodist Church and he hopes to be able to continue to support trips like this in the next season of his career.
You will still see Dr. Steve occasionally when you visit Boger Dental. He loves to visit with patients and he still takes care of the dental needs of his family and a select number of close friends. Even though he is not there on a daily basis, his influence and legacy of creating a unique, patient-focused dental practice remains strong today.
